OpusClip alternative: one queue per channel, no batches to reschedule
Facts checked on October 18, 2026.
Verdict: OpusClip or Stratos·Clip
If you post to YouTube Shorts and reschedule a batch of clips every time a new video comes in, Stratos·Clip is the OpusClip alternative that sets each channel up once: you pick its time slots or a number of posts per day, and every new Short joins the queue. Entry prices sit in the same range: $29.90 per month for 3 YouTube channels on Stratos·Clip, $29 per month for OpusClip Pro, its first plan with scheduling. If you also post to TikTok, Instagram or LinkedIn, stay on OpusClip: Stratos·Clip only posts to YouTube Shorts.
OpusClip and Stratos·Clip in one sentence each
OpusClip cuts your long videos into vertical clips and, from the Pro plan up, posts and schedules them to nine networks, including YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn.
Stratos·Clip cuts your long videos into captioned Shorts, with a template picked for the content (podcasts and interviews, gaming, reactions, series and fiction), then posts them to your YouTube channels from a queue you set up once per channel.
Both find the strong moments of a long video and reframe them vertically. The gap is in what happens next, once the clips are ready.
Scheduling a batch, or keeping a queue fed
On OpusClip, bulk scheduling starts from a project’s results page: you pick the clips, set their order, the date and time of the first one, then a fixed interval, from two hours to a day. Their documentation describes no recurring queue. When the next video comes in, you schedule its batch in turn, lining it up after the previous one so the channel does not stop. Twenty-four clips from one video, posted daily at the same time, cover twenty-four days; the day after, the channel waits for your next batch.
On Stratos·Clip, you set each channel up once: fixed time slots, for example 9 am, 2 pm and 7 pm, or a number of posts per day. Every ready Short enters its channel’s queue, whatever video it comes from. The queue alternates between source videos, so the channel does not post ten days in a row from the same episode. All you do is keep it fed: plug in a new video and its Shorts join the slots that already exist.
Each channel also shows its runway, the number of posting days its queue covers, so you see at a glance which one is about to run out of Shorts. An upload refused by the YouTube quota moves to the next slot instead of being lost. This queue posts about 500 Shorts a week on our own channels (October 2026 count).

The same month on both tools
Take a YouTube channel that posts two Shorts a day, with four one-hour videos to cut during the month.
On Stratos·Clip, a one-hour video yields about 16 Shorts for 22 credits, analysis included. Four videos therefore yield about four times 16 Shorts, enough to cover the month at two a day, for four times 22 credits: that fits within the 180 credits of the Starter plan at $29.90. The channel is set up once, each video you plug in fills the queue, and unused credits carry over to the next month.
On OpusClip, four hours of video make 240 processing minutes, within the 300 monthly minutes of the Pro plan at $29. OpusClip does not publish how many clips one minute of video yields, so you cannot tell in advance whether the month will be covered. On the posting side, each video gives a batch to schedule: four scheduling sessions in the month, each lined up after the previous one.
The price is close on both sides. The difference is the work left over: on Stratos·Clip, plugging in the video is enough; on OpusClip, you also schedule its batch and watch the date it runs out.
Paid plans open with online payment. Until then, the “Notify me at launch” button on the pricing grid records your email and the plan you want, and the free plan already posts to one channel, up to 2 Shorts a day.
When OpusClip is the better choice
- You post to several networks: OpusClip Pro schedules to nine networks, Stratos·Clip to YouTube Shorts only.
- You need an API, an MCP connector or Zapier: OpusClip includes them on Pro, Stratos·Clip has no public API.
- Your budget stops at $15 a month and you post yourself, when you choose: OpusClip Starter posts right away, without a scheduler.
- You want to test without posting anything: OpusClip Free gives 60 minutes a month. Our free plan does post, but its seats are limited.
- Your videos are not in French: the interface is in French, and detection and titles have only been measured on French-language videos. Try one video on the free plan first.
